So I'll freely admit that I am a "late comer" to Windows 7. I will follow right up by saying that is not by accident. New Microsoft products simply don't enter my world immediately, because time has taught me that Microsoft pushes the release so hard that their products are always buggy for awhile. Then again, maybe that is their plan -- to get some free testing out of the masses instead of paying software testers to thoroughly wash everything out.
Oh sure, I peeked at Windows 7 when it was in beta just to see what was coming down the road. But apart from opening up the hood and kicking the tires a couple times I didn't waste much time on it.
In any case, here I am testing Windows 7 for use in our network. A real-world drive in a production environment....
